New Schengen Entry Requirements

The EES (Entry/Exit System) should be fully operational by 10th April 2026, which means you may need to register your biometric details (photo and fingerprint) at border control. This can cause delays initially as each person will have to do it on their first visit to the Schengen area. But when fully operational it will mean your passport will not need to be stamped as you will input your biometric details instead.
